[No gold at all in Luceti to use to buy or sell? Now that sure was an odd concept. That sure added a degree of pointlessness to piracy.

Some crews, however, would still go even in Luceti if not for the treasure that may be out there and for the thrill. Such was pirate nature. Wantin' things for themselves even without payoff, things they didn't even understand.]

So those curious Malnosso are a bunch of blackmailers, then. Force us to go on adventures so as to acquire "extra items" that compel certain folk.

[Barbossa looked Spock's way as they walked and shook his head a little.]

Needless to say, Mr. Spock, it would take somethin' especially valuable for one such as I to do their dirty work.

[Like a ship. Or an infinite supply of apples (unless there already was one in Luceti). Or a neat hat, if he couldn't find his own.

Wait, what? The mention of Jack Sparrow made Barbossa nearly stop in his tracks, but his face still froze momentarily.]

Blimey! Jack be here, too? Was that wretched scalawag the one to steal me ship? [Or commandeer, as Jack would put it if he was asked the same question.]
