01. Shipwreck [Action]
[Little did Captain Barbossa know that day at Tortuga that he won't exactly wake up in the same place he had fallen asleep in - that is, the captain's cabin on the Queen Anne's Revenge. So when his eyes snapped open, it wasn't the hull of the ship they were looking at, but instead it was several tall trees they saw looming over him, along with the overcast sky.
The pirate captain proceeded to stand up from the ground, immediately feeling a new sensation in his back - that of a... pair of wings?]
Shiver me timbers... What is this wretched place?
[Fittingly enough, it was then when a chill ran up his spine and caused his body to quiver, making him notice that he was also shirtless - save for the white cotton pants on his legs.
Wait... did that mean...
Yes, turning his head around, Barbossa also saw no sign of his hat anywhere in the forest he was now in. The hat he had only just regained possession of.]
Arrr! Where be me hat? I swear, if somebody took me hat...
[Speaking of, what had happened to his ship that he had just acquired? Did his crew commandeer it somehow and left him here to perish while he was asleep? Just what in the world had happened in Tortuga? And what was up with this drastic season change? And that journal lying on the ground, which he knelt down to pick up - it wasn't a treasure he remembered uncovering. He was too confused and angry right now to make any sense of it.
Was this all that scalawag Jack Sparrow's doing again? If it was, he should better pray that Barbossa doesn't get his hands on him. Just marooning him on that bloody island wouldn't do this time... No, his fellow pirate would remember him as the scourge of the seven seas...
The (former) captain was already walking through the forest, trying to find anything - a path, a tavern, a port. It's there where somebody could find him and possibly help him understand what's going on.]

[Action]
[This was continuously shaping up to be a prison, and it was the first one Barbossa had been to that had a welcome center. It was certainly strange. With a bit of a grunt, it seemed like he didn't object to the destination choice, but he was still wary.]
What is there at this welcome center anyway? [If anything, they better have a bottle of rum there - he knew he needed it.]
[Action]
Though I do wonder how you became un undead. That's the most peculiar, ne?
[for what there was at the welcome center...]
I'm not entirely sure. When I arrived, some of my crew were already here [Not so many left now] So I went straight to them.
[Action]
'Tis a long tale, miss, and I'd rather be tellin' it when I've gathered me bearings. [And picked up his clothes, for that matter, for it wouldn't sound terrifying coming from him at this moment for pretty much the same reason.]
I wonder whether it would be a waste of time then, miss...? [His brows furrowed a bit in her direction as he asked for her name.]
[Action]
[she cocks her head at the question]
Perhaps. I think you can stay there if you have nowhere else. Otherwise it might be uncomfortable to sleep, don't you think?
[She's not inclined to give her name however. At leat not at the moment. They are at the clothing shop now and she moves in ahead of him, holding the door.]
You can find your things scattered throughout. There's no money in this place so don't worry about spending. Just take what you will.
[Action]
Can't imagine anythin' more comfortable to sleep in than me quarters in me ship, but I suppose that shall do, aye. [If there was even space in that Welcome Center to begin with, and above all, if they even accepted a pirate such as himself, for he was all but aware of the negative attitudes towards his ilk.
It wasn't her name that was important, though her hiding it did give Barbossa a somewhat bad feeling.] Everythin' be free for the takin', ye say? Better get me things before some fellow decides to run off with 'em, then. [With that, he entered the shop and began his search, not interested in acquiring anything else but his own clothes for now.]
[Action]
[Though what she might mean by this is somewhat vague. She'll lean against the doorframe and watch him go through the clothes]
Do you have a large ship?
[Action]
The Queen Anne's Revenge? She be a 300 ton frigate, lass, armed with forty cannons, Blackbeard's own vessel before I commandeered it from him. Fairly large, I'd say, and a bloody good ship.
[Even if he would always be a fan of the Pearl more, he had grown to really enjoy being a captain of the Queen Anne's Revenge before he was taken, with which came a certain respect.]
[Action]
[and here Robin is completely honest. What woman doesn't like a big ship with plenty of firepower? Though...Blackbeard. She doesn't think it's the same one...somehow... He doesn't feel as if he's from her world. But possibly?
After a moment, she spots a very piratey hat nearby]
Is this yours?
[a hand has blossomed out of the wall to hold up the hat with her fingertips.]
[Action]
That round black hat was unmistakable, as were the ostrich feathers on its top and the long imposing hem. But...
Blimey, was that a disjointed hand that was giving the hat to him?
It took Barbossa himself a lot to be terrified of things as well, given what his eyes have seen before, but he still thought this was just plain weird. And he's seen weird.]
What in blazes has become of yer hand? [If it was hers to begin with. Regardless, he still took the hat even if he didn't put it on immediately, though not without furrowing his brows at the odd sight.]
[Action]
Nothing at all. Why do you ask?
[and the hand waves and then disappears into a burst of petals]
